Offering up a very first look at what's to come, Sony Pictures debuted the trailer for "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" on Wednesday night (November 14).
The nearly two minutes worth of footage from MTV shows leading lady Lily Collins in action under the direction of Harald Zwart.
In the action/adventure flick, Lily plays Clary Fray, a teenage girl who searches to discover the truth about her family history after her mom is attacked and taken from their New York City home by a demon.
The 23-year-old actress is joined by Lena Headey in "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," which is expected to hit theaters on August 23, 2013.
