Just about everybody raised a giant suspicious eyebrow when Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon split up with their respective other halves shortly after beginning to train together on Dancing on Ice.
Reports suggested that the two had developed feelings for each other while work together, but now Samia has dismissed that saying she’s “single”. She told The Sun:
'I'm single and I’m just having fun skating.
'It's such a dangerous sport anyway that I can't afford to be focusing on anything other than just being a good ice skater and good mum.'
Samia and Sylvain were separated over the Christmas period and the actress admits that while they were apart she found herself missing him, she added:
'I can see how you’d end up in a relationship with your partner.'
Quite – that’s how Sylvain ended up with his last girlfriend Jennifer Metcalfe who’s just pulled out of rival reality show Splash over fears it could look like she’s going head to head with Samia.
But Jennifer needn’t have worried because Samia’s definitely not seeing her ex…. Right?
